Organic Jersey Milk

from the heart of Vermont

Discover the creamier side of dairy

It all starts with our single-source, whole milk.

It’s minimally processed to preserve flavor and has more butterfat on average than standardized market milk. Jersey milk is also higher in protein, calcium, and other nutrients.

Make Rogers Farmstead cream-top milk the magic ingredient in your next recipe, add it to your coffee for a little decadence, or savor the flavor in our chocolate milk, yogurt, and eggnog.

    On-farm processing for peak freshness

Our milk is pasteurized and bottled at our farm within hours of milking for peak freshness. It’s not homogenized, which means the cream stays on top—so you can experience what milk should taste like in all its goodness. Just remember to shake it up!

Where you know your farmer by name

We’re Nate and Jessie Rogers. In 2012, we began restoring a 133-acre farm in Berlin to build a way of life as dairy farmers and raise our family. Our dairy is a throwback to the good ol’ days when milk tasted better because you knew the farm where it came from.

Led by our organic farmstead values

A certified organic farmstead with a herd of 30 milking cows and 20 young heifers, our cows roam outside, eat grass and hay, and never receive antibiotics or growth hormones. We make dairy at a scale that works for our family, our animals, and the environment, and we’re proud to share that with our community.

“The chocolate milk is one of our most hyped beverages, putting a smile on children’s faces every day. Even adults that I see try this chocolate milk for the first time—their eyes light up. It’s really that special. Definitely the best chocolate milk I’ve ever tasted in my life.”

 FAQs

  • No. Our milk is not raw. It is low-temperature pasteurized.

  • Our milk is pasteurized at 145 degrees for 30 minutes, which is known as low-temperature pasteurization, and through this process, it retains premium flavor.

  • While our milk is pasteurized, it is not homogenized. This means that the cream isn’t mixed into the milk and rises to the top as it naturally would. Once you shake it, the cream will mix in.

  • High-quality milk starts with a healthy diet. Our cows eat a mixture of organic farmstead-grown grasses and hay sourced from the 200+ acres we manage. For organic certification, they spend at least 120 days outside grazing (often more when the weather allows).

  • At our farm store, you’ll find our dairy products as well as a seasonal mix of food items, including local bread, bagels, honey, hot sauce, ice cream, local meat, maple syrup, and more. We no longer sell hay, straw, or milled grains such as pancake mix.

  • The farmstand located at the farm is open to the public from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. We do not offer private tours to the public at this time.
